# Business Interpretation & Translation in China

InterBridge arranges **English–Chinese interpretation**, on site or remote, for supplier meetings, factory visits and trade fairs, plus **business document translation**, with terminology prepared beforehand.

## A good fit if

- You are visiting suppliers, factories or a **trade fair** in China and need to be understood
- You are negotiating price, specifications or terms and need **exact wording** in both languages
- You hold quotations, specifications or emails **in Chinese** and need them translated to decide

## What we coordinate

- **Meeting and visit interpretation**: *Consecutive interpretation* (speaker and interpreter take turns) for factory visits, commercial meetings, negotiations and **video calls**, on site or remote.
- **Trade-fair support**: Plan your priorities before the fair, support **booth conversations** and record the follow-up items agreed with each exhibitor.
- **Business document translation**: Translate specifications, quotations, presentations, emails and working documents, using the **terminology** and file format you supply or agree.

## What you receive

- A **terminology and objectives brief** prepared before the session
- **Interpretation** for the agreed time, place and language pair
- **Action notes** after the meeting, when included in the scope
- **Translated files** in the editable or review format you agree

## How it works

1. **Send the context**: Share the participants, objectives, documents, products and any **sensitive subjects** before the session.
2. **Prepare terminology**: We align names, measurements and technical terms, and mark the points that need **exact confirmation**.
3. **Support the session**: The interpreter conveys the discussion and **pauses to clarify** anything ambiguous.
4. **Close the loop**: We record **follow-ups** or revise the translated working documents, if included in the scope.

## What we need from you

- **Language pair**, date, time, city and meeting location or platform
- **Agenda**, participants and the decisions you want from the meeting
- Product terms, specifications, presentations or **earlier messages**
- For translations: **file format** and what the document will be used for

## Scope and limits

- *Availability* depends on language pair, subject matter, location and notice period.
- *Legal, certified, sworn, medical* or highly specialized translation is arranged only when a suitably qualified provider is confirmed.
- Interpretation helps communication but *does not replace* your technical, legal or commercial review.

## Common questions

- Q: How much does a business interpreter in China cost?
A: InterBridge quotes interpretation **per assignment**, and you agree the quote before any work starts. The price depends on the language pair, the subject, how long the session lasts, the location and any travel, and how much preparation is needed. Written translation is *quoted separately* from the documents you send.
- Q: How far ahead should I book an interpreter in China?
A: Book as soon as you know your **dates and city**. Availability depends on the language pair, subject, location and notice period, and InterBridge *cannot promise same-day cover*. Send the date, place and agenda in your first message, and an agent confirms whether a suitable interpreter is available and what preparation is needed.
- Q: Can you interpret remotely, or do I need to be in China?
A: You can join **remotely**; you do not need to be in China. InterBridge can scope remote interpretation for common meeting platforms, subject to language pair and availability. An interpreter can also attend in person at a factory, meeting or trade fair. Tell the agent which platform or location applies.
- Q: Which languages do you interpret?
A: InterBridge’s standard offer is **English–Chinese** business interpretation. Other language pairs, and specific Chinese varieties such as Cantonese, are possible *only when a suitable interpreter is confirmed* for your dates. Name the languages and the subject in your first message, and an agent tells you what can be arranged before you commit.
- Q: Can you interpret technical and negotiation discussions?
A: **Often**, with preparation. InterBridge reviews the subject and your materials first, aligns terminology and confirms whether a *specialist interpreter* is needed. During the session the interpreter pauses to clarify ambiguity, and action notes, when included, record what was agreed. Interpretation does not replace your own technical, legal or commercial review.
- Q: Are translated documents certified or legally valid?
A: **Not automatically.** Standard business translations are *not certified*. Certified, sworn, legal or medical translation is arranged only when InterBridge has confirmed a suitably qualified provider. Tell the agent which authority or organization will receive the document and how it will be used, so the correct requirement can be checked first.
