# Quality Assurance & Product Inspection

InterBridge coordinates **factory inspections** in China for **buyers** and returns a **written report** with photos and a defect log, measured against criteria you agree before the visit.

## What we coordinate

- **Pre-shipment inspection**: Check *sampled* **finished goods** for quantity, workmanship, dimensions, function, labels and packaging, as set out in the inspection plan.

## How it works

1. **Set the standard**: Turn your approved sample, specification and packaging rules into **criteria** that can be checked on site. Send your own checklist if you have one.
2. **Plan the visit**: Confirm the factory, the production stage, the available quantity and the **inspection date**.
3. **Inspect and record**: Check a **sample** of goods against the plan and document what can be observed.
4. **Decide and follow up**: Review the findings with you. If you ask, coordinate **corrective action** or a re-inspection.

## Scope and limits

- An inspection is a *sampled snapshot* of the goods available at one time, not a guarantee for every unit.
- Laboratory testing, certification, engineering validation and regulatory approval need *qualified third parties* unless expressly scoped.
- The report supports your decision. You decide on payment and shipment; InterBridge *does not release* payment or cargo for you.

## Common questions

- Q: How much does a product inspection in China cost?
  A: InterBridge quotes each inspection **per scope**, and you agree the quote before any work starts. The price depends on the factory location, the number of products and variations, the sample size, the checks required and the time needed on site. Checks can include measurements, function tests and carton checks. Laboratory fees are *separate*.
- Q: How far ahead should I book a pre-shipment inspection?
  A: Book as soon as the **order details and target ship date** are known. Timing depends on when production is finished, the factory location and availability. For a pre-shipment inspection, the goods should be finished and largely packed so samples can be drawn from cartons. InterBridge confirms the visit date once you send the order details.
- Q: Do I need to be at the factory during the inspection?
  A: **No.** InterBridge coordinates the inspection on your behalf, and you receive the **report, photos and defect log** to review from wherever you are. You set the criteria before the visit and decide afterwards what to do with the results. An agent can talk through the findings with you.
- Q: What is the difference between pre-production, during-production and pre-shipment inspection?
  A: The three inspections check different stages of an order. A **pre-production check** reviews materials, samples and readiness before manufacturing advances. A **during-production check** inspects work in progress at an agreed milestone, while problems can still be corrected. A **pre-shipment inspection** samples the finished, packed goods. InterBridge recommends the checkpoint that fits your order and stage.
- Q: What happens if the inspection finds defects?

InterBridge can coordinate corrective action or re-inspection if you ask, and the decision on payment and shipment *stays with you*.
- Q: Does a passed inspection mean every unit is defect-free?
  A: **No.** An inspection samples the goods available on the day and reports what was found, so it cannot guarantee every unit. Laboratory testing, certification and regulatory approval are *not part of an inspection* and need qualified third parties. InterBridge can coordinate an external laboratory if you scope it, with fees and credentials confirmed separately.
